This is what the makeup should look like when finished. Below is a list of steps to accomplish this look, as well as a video of a makeup artist doing each step! We can't wait for competition!
Step 1
Moisturize your face with an oil free moisturizer! This will help the foundation go on smooth and stay better.
Step 2
Apply a Shadow Shield, Painters tape will also work for this. This protects from any fallout from your eye make up. If you choose to use painters tape we like to get the thicker one, then line the smooth edge up from the outside edge of the eye to the end of the eye brow. Using one of these will help you to get a clean line on your eye shadow and help you get a clean winged eyeliner.
Step 3
Prime your eyelids. You don't have to get this brand exactly but you also don't want to get the cheapest one you can find either. A few brand we like are NYX, Urban Decay, and Ulta. After priming the eyelid you want to set that with a translucent powder. This will help to blend the eye shadow easier.
Step 4
Brows! Filling in your brows is so important! So you can use the browns from the Morphe eyeshadow pallet that we got. You want to use an angle brush and start by going along the base of the eyebrow then blend up!
Step 5
This is where we start the eyeshadow. You will start with the lighter brown. If you have a hard time seeing the crease of the eye, keep your eyes open, looking forward and brush the color in the crease until its more defined. You will use a fluffy brush, it will be the Morphe M505.
Step 6
You will continue with the fluffy M505 brush. For this step you will mix the two brown colors together and start to define the outer corner of the eye. Keep the color in the crease but don't bring the color past the iris of the eye.
Step 7
You are using the fluffy M507 and use just the darker brown color. This is where you will start to do a sideways "V" in the outside corner of the eye. Again don't go past the iris of the eye.
Step 8
You will use the Morphe M507 brush. You will mix the darker brown and black color and continue doing the sideways "V" in the outside corner of the eyes.
Step 9
For this step you will continue using the M507 brush, you will use the black color and stay right on the edge of the eye, right by where your eyeliner would go. Make sure that you start with a little bit of color and keep building it up as you go to get the desired color.
Step 10
This is where you will use the white color. You will use the thicker side of the Morphe M156 brush. Get that side of the brush wet with water or setting spray and then dip in your shadow. This color will stay in the inner corner of your eye. You want to drag and not pat with this color.
Step 11
For eyeliner you will bring the wing out a little bit from the corner of the eye and line all the way across the top of the lid. Make sure when doing eyeliner that the darkest thickest part of your eyeliner is staying on the outside of the eye so it doesn't close off the eyes. This is where you will use the Morphe gel liner and the Morphe M160-1/4 brush.
Step 12
For this step you will set the eyeliner with the black eye shadow. Use the M160-1/4 go over the eyeliner line on the eyelid with the black eyeshadow.
Step 13
You can take off the Shadow Shield at this point and clean up any areas that you need to. You will apply the foundation that you have all over the face. Make sure the color matches your skin tone and blend down your neck a little bit.
Step 14
For this step you want to do contour and blush. You don't have to contour if you don't feel comfortable but you do NEED the blush. For a contour color you want it to be a cool brown tone and it needs to be a matte color. (You can YouTube search how to contour if you aren't sure where to do that) With the blush smile and put the color on the apples of your cheeks. For this step we use a beauty blender to apply the blush.
Step 15
Eyelashes! All girls need eyelashes, even the little ones! For the little ones make sure you trim the eyelash so it doesn't over power the eye, having the eyelash off the inner corner of the eye will make it a lot less irritating to the girls. When you apply the eyelashes you want to curl the false lashes before you apply them. After curling you will apply the eyelash glue and let the glue start the dry slightly so the glue is tacky and not wet. Then use a pair of tweezers to apply the lashes. You want to stick the center of the lashes, then the outside corner, then the inside corner.
Step 16
Set the face with Translucent powder. This will help the makeup stay all day long!
Step 17
Lips! For this step you should all have the Lipsense color. YOU HAVE TO HAVE CLEAN DRY LIPS! If you don't the color will not stay on! You want to scrape all the excess color off the wand. You will do 3 thin layers of the color and you have to allow dry time in between the layers. After you have done the color, you will apply the gloss.
Here is a link to an application of Lipsense if you want to watch someone apply it.
We know this is a lot of steps, however this will ensure that the makeup stays on and looking nice all day long! If you have any questions feel free to contact us. Below is a link to the video of a makeup artist doing this whole process!
